Hairstylist

Well, today was Jackson's first foray into the world of high fashion. He and a few other boys at school found a stray pair of scissors and decided it was high time they get their spring styles in order. Of course, Jackson realized that bangs were SO last season and that a neat little style was WAY to "toddler" so he went about chopping out a few sections of his beautiful hair. I'm sure he was going for "young Hollywood hipster" and while he made a valiant effort, he came up a little short (haha, no pun intended).

I tried to get a few good pictures of the "before" but his hair was too dark to have it really show up on the camera. So, here are his "after" shots. He says, "Mom, it's so really cool". I say, "What happened to him?! He looks like he just got out of prison!" Of course, Dan says, "That's really funny!" Sigh....boys!

In other news, we are all doing fine. The cramps and stuff are still coming a few times a day, but nothing serious enough to send me back to the hospital. I'm doing a good job of making sure I take it easy when I start feeling weird and I'm getting as much rest as I can. I may be having a boxer or a soccer player though because the child is kicking ALL the time. He at least lets me sleep at night until around 2am before he begins his warm-up excercises!

We are still looking for a bigger house and with the help of a real estate agent and friend we are hoping we are closer to finding what we want at a price we like. She's letting us in on the listings 24 hours before the go to post, so we have a little leg up. I nearly cried today when she told us a house we would have loved sold before we could make an offer. It was a two year old, four bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage that went up for short sale for only 138K!!! Four weeks ago it was 238K and the original price was somewhere closer to 300K. BOO HOOO! The owner had no choice and we are totally bummed we missed the boat on that one, but there are plenty more coming, we're sure. I feel bad for people who's A.R.M.'s are resetting this month because they are going to be taking huge losses. Good for us, bad for them :(

Anyway, we look forward to seeing those of you that will be able to visit soon. Joe was here this last weekend to go riding with Dan and it was lots of fun to see him. Jack spent most of his time trying to impress Uncle Joe and was sad to see him go.
We'll keep everyone posted if anything exciting happens!

Love,
Christine, Dan, Jack, and Baby Umina
